Responsibilities- Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock’s Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business
- Comply with all manufacturer’s specifications
- Ensure they are following all Brock, Contractor’s, and governmental safety requirements
- Take direction from the supervisor
- Ability to identify the type of scaffolding material to be used for the job (frame, tube & clamp, system)
- Sort and organize material
- Place and receive orders for material
- Complete safety paperwork such as FLRAs, Sharp Cards, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Journeyman I should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the craft. This is the highest classification without supervisory authority, and is generally used to recognize outstanding senior performers who serve as examples and role models.

- ORIENTATION
- Must be able to successfully pass Brock and/or Safety Council Site Specific Orientation requirements - HEAVY WORK
- Lifting up to 50 pounds from the floor to the waist and 35 pounds from the waist to above shoulder - CLIMBING
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like to elevations in excess of 100 feet, maintaining three-point contact at all times - LADDERS
- Using vertical ladders frequently up to 100 feet; activity exists up to 60% of the work shift - STAIRS & RAMPS
- Using stairs or ramps occasionally up to 100 feet; activity exists up to 40% of the work shift - BALANCING
- Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on unprotected elevated surfaces or during scaffold construction, frequently up to 60% of the work shift - STOOPING
- Bending at the waist, frequently up to 60% of the work shift - KNEELING
- Bending legs to rest on knee(s), occasionally up to 40% of the work shift - CROUCHING
- Bending the body downward frequently up to 60% of the work shift - REACHING
- Extending arms to receive materials up to 50 pounds from ground level and 35 pounds from overhead, frequently up to 60% of the work shift - GRIPPING
- Grasping materials up to 50 pounds, frequently up to 60% of the work shift - VISION - 20/40 vision with or without correction in at least one eye
- HEARING
- Ability to hear a forced whispered voice in one ear at not less than five feet, with or without a hearing aid - WEATHER EXPOSURE
- Outside atmospheric conditions;
-10 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit; constant exposure up to 60% of the work shift - PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
- Able to properly use required personal protective equipment for the full shift - INSULATION TOOLS
- Use insulation tools associated with the work
