Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant

Perform bank reconciliations, cash reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities
Process cash receipts, journal entries, accounts payable activities, and support accounts receivable functions
Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing for approximately 70-80 employees, including payroll review and workers' compensation support
Import data from POS systems into the accounting platform, verify information, and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
Support a phased training process, beginning with cash receipts and progressing into accounts payable and payroll responsibilities

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant

Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
Experience with bank reconciliations and transactional accounting functions such as AP, AR, payroll, or cash management
Comfortable using Excel for reconciliations and maintaining financial records in a multi-entity environment
