Do you believe in empowering young people, nurturing their potential, and helping them achieve brighter futures?

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team within a residential children’s home. Our philosophy is rooted in genuine care, empathy, and a holistic approach that places the individual needs of our young people at the centre of everything we do.

About Us

Our approach is based on a commitment to working in the best interests of the young people we support. We listen to their views, wishes, and feelings and work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and professionals to promote health, safety, emotional wellbeing, education, and social development.

We develop professional, respectful relationships with children and seek to nurture positivity and build resilience. Our practitioners are sensitive to both the historical and current needs of young people and are passionate about supporting them to reach their fullest potential.

We operate within the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and strive to exceed the Nine Quality Standards, ensuring consistently high-quality care.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the operational leadership and management of the home.

* Promote, safeguard, and protect the welfare of each young person in accordance with Working Together to Safeguard Children.

* Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.

* Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with young people.

* Manage challenging behaviour through positive and responsive methods.

* Participate in the development and review of personalised care packages.

* Support young people in reviews, meetings, and appointments.

* Promote healthy lifestyles, independence, and social development.

* Ensure the home provides a warm, homely environment and support activities and routines.

* Maintain accurate, compliant record-keeping.

* Support staff supervision, mentoring, development, and rota planning.

* Promote children’s rights, dignity, diversity, and inclusion.
