HGV Trailer Technician

Location Castle Donnington

Salary 41k to 44k

Monday to Friday
-Days min 40 hours per week

33 days annual leave and Company pension

We are currently recruiting for our client, a leading Trailer and HGV Truck Company, and are seeking a highly skilled HGV Trailer Technician.

Duties of the HGV Trailer Technician:

  • Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs on HGV trailers
  • Lifting Deck and Tail Lift experience
  • Diagnose and repair Electronic Braking System (EBS) faults
  • Complete all compliance and maintenance documentation accurately
  • Follow health and safety regulations diligently
  • Attend training courses to enhance technical expertise and stay updated with industry standards

Candidate Criteria for the HGV Trailer Technician role:

  • Proven experience working with Lifting Deck and Tail Lift experience for vehicles
  • Industry recognised qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQs in automotive or trailer maintenance
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
  • IRTEC accreditation (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience with EBS diagnostics (Knorr Bremse, Haldex, WABCO)
  • Welding certifications (desirable)
  • Knowledge of axle manufacturers such as BPW, SAF, JOST
  • Experience with tail lift and double-deck trailer maintenance
