In this role, you have the opportunity to plan and implement a wide range of recreational, physical, social, cultural, and religious events for our Memory Care residents. You will organize special seasonal events to celebrate resident milestones and holidays, ensuring every day is filled with joy and excitement. You will also have the chance to develop genuine relationships with residents on a daily basis.
Other key duties may include:
- Plan, implement, and demonstrate crafts with creativity for Memory Care residents
- Drive residents to outings with the company car or 13-passenger bus
- Assist in developing and producing monthly calendars, newsletters, and other administrative duties as needed
- Teach exercise classes to residents
- Answer phones at the front desk during concierges’ lunches
- Serve snacks and drinks during our happy hour and special events
- Maintain a clean workspace for activities
The qualifications for the position are:
- 21 years or older
- Must obtain CPR/First Aid Training within a specific timeframe of hire
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with residents, families, and the general public
- Ability to make presentations to a variety of groups
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement a varied program of social recreation, cultural, and religious activities for a large population of seniors
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Prior experience with Memory Care patients
