Junior Accountant Overview:Our company is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable (AP) email inbox, reviewing and reconciling credit card charges, preparing and posting journal entries, and performing balance sheet account reconciliations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and monitor the AP inbox, ensuring timely processing and proper documentation of vendor invoices.
- Review, verify, and reconcile company credit card charges, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accurate account coding.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries for routine and adjusting transactions, maintaining proper supporting documentation.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are accurately stated and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Help maintain accurate and organized financial records and files.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies or answer inquiries related to payables, credit card transactions, and accounting entries.
- Support annual audit requests by providing easy access to relevant documentation and reconciliations.
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
