Senior Accountant
to join their team!

In this role, you’ll support critical financial operations, contribute to year-end reporting, and help ensure accuracy across accounting processes that directly support public-sector services. Key Responsibilities & Duties:- Oversee capital assets and depreciation tracking
- Support year-end audit preparation and auditor requests
- Review coding, budget availability, and compliance items
- Assist with revenue tracking, reconciliations, and reporting
- Prepare journal entries and payment vouchers
- Support grant, retainage, and other account reconciliations
- Assist with SEFA, ACFR, and Single Audit processes
- Provide guidance to accounting staff on key functions
- Help implement new governmental accounting standards
- Serve as backup for accounts payable review and approvals
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
- Five years of accounting, finance, or related experience
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles
- Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Ability to support audit preparation and year-end close activities
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with external auditors
- Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting
Skills & Experience:
- Governmental accounting experience
- Experience with ACFR or Single Audit reporting
Knowledge of capital assets and depreciation - Background with grants and sub-recipient monitoring
- Familiarity with cost allocation planning
- Experience supporting audit and compliance workflows
- Understanding of sales tax and revenue reconciliation processes
