American Academy (AA) has an opening for an Elementary Music Teacher at our Motsenbocker campus for the 2026-27 school year. Music classes at American Academy include music history, music theory and performance. Extra‑curricular programming may include drama, vocal ensembles, and dance.
Responsibilities- Adhere to the mission and philosophy of American Academy with enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity.
- Teach American Academy’s curriculum with fidelity.
- Uphold and model American Academy’s Manners and Character.
- Work as a positive member of the grade level team to provide an exceptional education.
- Develop and maintain a positive partnership with parents through frequent communication of progress and concerns.
- Maintain positive relationships with co‑workers, students, and administration.
- Timely upkeep of records including grades and assignments in Infinite Campus and updates on webpage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field
- Elementary Education teaching license
- Endorsement in Music
- Core Knowledge Philosophy (music)
- Music History
- Specialization in vocal music and dance
- Integration of technology into music lessons
- Differentiation of instruction to reach all levels of ability
