Assistant Field Director

For more than 30 years, BGCLC has served the youth in Larimer County. The BGCLC centers are a place for kids to laugh, learn, grow and belong. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. The BGCLC does this by providing spaces around Larimer County for youth to go to before and after school, here children can participate in numerous activities that encourage them to plan for the future, demonstrate good character, and lead healthy lifestyles.

The Assistant Field Director will oversee and manage the field staff team, alongside whom they will act as a substitute staff for the daily operations of before, after, and out-of-school programs. This position is responsible for staff management and development, program implementation, facilities management, licensing qualification, and maintaining strong community relationships. This position requires high energy, enthusiasm for BGCLC's mission, and the ability to adapt to the needs of the youth population being served.

Successful candidates will be able to build strong professional relationships with staff, parents, Club members, and the community, as well as be flexible enough to take over any type of Club role.

This is a part-time position with an hourly pay range of $27.78 - $30.56

• Maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with scheduled work hours.
• Adhere to all BGCLC policies and procedures.
• Support Club locations as assigned.
• Maintain a program culture consistent with the 5 key elements for positive youth development
• Provide guidance and act as a positive role model/mentor to assure the conduct, safety, and development of all members.
• Help maintain facilities and equipment to ensure a productive and clean work environment.
• Maintain close professional relationships with all BGCLC stakeholders.
• Consult with Club leaders after subbing assignments.

• Supervise overall Club operations, ensuring the physical/emotional health and safety of all members, volunteers, parents, and staff through BGCLC approved practices.
• Serve as a contact person for all Club stakeholders when acting as temporary Director.
• Assist with food service in the Club, following all Food Bank/Health Dept. safe food handling protocols.
• Plan, execute, and maintain compliance during full-day programming. Including Summer Site consolidations.

• Responsible for reporting all maintenance needs of temporarily assigned Club location to the Operations department staff.
• Participate in quarterly facility maintenance walkthroughs and ensure all designated tasks are completed. (i.e., cleaning, organizing, repairs, etc.)
• Support the management and maintenance of any onsite BGCLC fleet vehicles of assigned Club location.

• Supervise and coach Club staff at the assigned work locations

• Assist with other duties as assigned

• The Assistant Field Director must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, and must have
• completed at least one (1) of the following qualifications:
• 1+ years of Director level experience in an out-of-school workplace setting
• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with a major area of study in one (1) of the following areas:
• Child Development
• Psychology

• Family and Human Development
