Fraud Strategy Analyst (Mid-Level) – Money Movement

Location: Hybrid (4 days in office)

Applicants must be based in one of the following states:

  • Arizona (AZ) – Phoenix
  • North Carolina (NC) – Charlotte

About the Role

An established financial services organisation is seeking a Fraud Strategy Analyst to develop and optimise fraud prevention strategies focused on money movement and payments
. This role partners with cross-functional teams to design fraud rules, analyse emerging threats, and use data-driven insights to minimise fraud risk while enhancing customer protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and optimise fraud strategies and fraud rule management.
  • Analyse complex datasets to identify fraud trends, patterns, and emerging risks.
  • Build predictive models and perform analytical assessments to improve fraud detection.
  • Utilise SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI, Tableau, and other analytical tools to generate insights.
  • Develop and maintain fraud detection rules for money movement products.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective fraud solutions.
  • Monitor fraud performance metrics and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations and financial crime policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years' experience in financial crimes, fraud strategy, fraud analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and implementing fraud rule strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills using SQL, SAS, BI tools, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of U.S. banking regulations, including Reg E, Reg CC, UDAAP, FACTA, and Reg Z.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Fraud strategy experience within money movement or payments
    .
  • Experience developing fraud detection rules for Wire, ACH, and Zelle transactions.
  • Experience working with fraud detection engines and rule management platforms.
  • Salary: $85,040 – $162,550 per year.
  • Hybrid working arrangement (4 days in office).
