Job DescriptionDevelops and implements departmental safety programs using various data sources. Oversees development and implementation of strategies for accomplishing departmental and organizational objectives. Develops and maintains effective departmental communication through regular staff meetings and facilitates information flow between department and administration. Fosters an environment of service excellence for patients, families, physicians, and the community. Develops and implements annual budget, monitors, and makes adjustments to ensure effective use of budgeted resources.
Reviews labor management reports and ensures established goals are met. Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates marketing/program development initiatives in coordination with leadership staff and hospital administration. Develops and implements strategic and business plans. Ensures compliance with safety and legal requirements as established by governing and regulatory agencies. Manages the selection, education, staffing, and disciplining of staff members in compliance with standards, policies, and practices.
Evaluates learning needs of individuals and the department, ensuring in-services and training programs meet identified needs. Promotes staff competency through proper orientation, skill validation, and education. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to use various software programs, including but not limited to Cerner and Microsoft® Office suite. [Required]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
- Technical/Vocational School
- Graduate of an accredited school for Registered Nursing upon hire
- or Master’s Degree in Nursing
- 3+ of supervisory experience upon hire [Required]
- 3+ years related experience [Required]
- 5+ of leadership/operations experience [Preferred]
- N/A
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
