Position Overview

Registered Nurse (PRN), Day Shift, Castle Rock, CO – 2350 Meadows Blvd, ZIP 80109.

• Provide comprehensive education to patients and families from admission to discharge, covering medical and nursing care plans, medications, tests, procedures, disease processes, and discharge instructions.
• Document education provided, including patient responses and outcomes.
• Initiate referrals to healthcare providers as needed.
• Deliver competent, compassionate care to patients in pain in accordance with policy and maintain a safe care environment.
• Administer medications accurately as ordered.
• Respond to unit and hospital code situations.
• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients requiring oxygen support.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures.
• Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges professionally.
• Verify and sign off physician orders and obtain lab specimens as ordered.
• Evaluate nursing care plans to ensure safe, competent care delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise plans of care according to outcomes.
• Basic computer skills – navigate Microsoft window-based programs.
• Fluent in English (read, verbal, and written).

• Associate degree (required).
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting (required).

• Registered Nurse (RN) – required.
• Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS) – required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferred.
• Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) – preferred.
