Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Labor and Delivery at Advent Health in Castle Rock, Colorado. The role involves comprehensive, holistic patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

  Full‑time, Night Shift

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Team‑player ability within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem‑solving skills
• EKG ability and Advanced Life Support competence
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing)
• Basic computer skills – expertise in Microsoft Windows based programs
• High level of abstract reasoning to assess patient outcome and revise plan of care

• Associate’s of Nursing – Required
• Bachelor’s of Nursing – Preferred

• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience – Required

• Registered Nurse (RN) – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the AHA – Required

• Pay Range: $34.26 – $59.24 per hour
• Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 for new hires
