Brookside Inn Skilled Nursing Facility
, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Castle Rock, is looking for an individual dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. We are seeking a full‑time Nurse Educator (RN or LPN) to join our leadership team and drive clinical excellence, staff development, and continuous learning.

As the Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in planning, implementing, directing, and evaluating our facility’s comprehensive general and clinical education programs. You will coordinate general and clinical orientations for new hires, maintain annual staff competencies, and ensure that our nursing team stays fully aligned with current standards of practice and regulatory requirements.

Rate of Pay

$95, annually depending on experience and licensure

Responsibilities Education & Staff Development
  • Coordinate, plan, and implement robust general and clinical orientations for new hires and existing staff.
  • Design, schedule, and post monthly educational calendars and run engaging skills fairs, training sessions and conducting and coordinating monthly all-staff meetings.
  • Conducting and coordinating CPR classes to ensure all staff maintain active, up-to-date certifications.
  • Utilize online learning platforms to conduct, track, and maintain accurate records of nursing department competencies and attendance.
  • Assess resident, nursing assistant, and clinical staff needs to develop targeted, competency-based educational programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate educational needs and provide comprehensive recommendations to administration and HR.
Clinical Quality & Surveillance
  • Conduct regular nursing, environmental, and safety surveillance rounds to identify potential concerns and translate findings into staff education.
  • Participate in managerial oversight of the dining room, focusing on resident dignity, nutritional/fluid intake, infection control, and teamwork.
  • Assume assigned Quality Assurance duties and participate in the nursing department on-call rotation as scheduled.
  • Function as a charge nurse and/or medication/treatment nurse as needed to support facility operations.
Leadership & Supervision
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing staff conformance to facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Supervise classroom and clinical activities of nursing staff to ensure high standards of care.
  • Continually assess the education program to assure implementation of the approved program.
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner and work cooperatively with all staff, consultants, community agencies, and ancillary service personnel.
  • Interpret and establish facility policies, procedures, and regulations for the nursing staff.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in long-term care, with specific experience in wound care and restorative nursing.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care.
