Position Summary

Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in‑stock inventory levels, budgeting and forecasting, and assessing economic trends and community needs.

• Ensures effective merchandise presentation in the Vision Center, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and maintaining in‑stock inventory levels.
• Drives sales through budgeting and forecasting, and assessing economic trends and community needs.
• Provides direction and guidance to Associates on customer/member service approaches and techniques to resolve complaints and issues within company guidelines and standards.
• Oversees the implementation of and participates in community outreach programs, encouraging Associates to serve as community members.
• Ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing and interpreting reports and implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls.
• Oversees safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews, developing and implementing action plans to improve performance.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for Associates: hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and recognizing contributions.
• Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members, selecting products, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment.
• Upholds the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions.
• Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to support plans and initiatives that meet customer and business needs.
• Identifies and communicates goals and objectives, builds accountability, measures progress, identifies improvement opportunities, demonstrates adaptability, and promotes continuous learning.

• Completion of at least 2 years of college, or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience including 1 year of optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.

• Experience supervising Associates.

Hourly wage range: $32.50 - $42.50. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
