Retail Sales Cashier Associate - Castle Rock Store

Pay: $15.95 per hour.

Full‑time position. Weekend availability required.

The Associate I, Retail Sales Cashier provides exceptional customer service by greeting customers in a welcoming manner and responding promptly and professionally to inquiries. Sales Associates help maintain a well‑stocked and organized sales floor that meets company standards, and operate a point‑of‑sale (POS) cash register system to ensure accurate product pricing at the time of purchase.

• Verify till counts, perform accurate cashier transactions, and maintain a balanced cash drawer using a computer‑based POS system.
• Drive the roundup initiative by engaging customers and sharing knowledge of the mission it supports.
• Provide excellent customer service that upholds company values.
• Assist customers with questions, concerns, and purchases.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, putting away product from racks, carts, or baskets, and returning unwanted items.
• Ensure the POS, sales floor, and restrooms are safe, clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
• Initiate customer delight/power hour calls over intercom to organize and clean the sales floor.
• Follow all retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
• Cross‑train in other departments or areas; act as a back‑up for other areas as required.
• Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience

• One (1) year of retail sales or cash handling experience is preferred.

Other

• Accurate with numbers and general calculations; understand the value of different coins and U.S. currency.
• Ability to perform basic math such as adding, subtracting, and multiplication.
• Effective communication with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Operating a computer‑based cash register and credit card machine.
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to eight (8) hours per day.
• Ability to see color for accurate transactions.
• Availability for a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime as necessary.
