Assistant Manager

As an Assistant Manager at Discount Tire, you'll help lead daily store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You'll support the Store Manager in supervising and coaching team members, ensuring outstanding customer service, and maintaining a strong focus on safety. Responsibilities include assisting with staffing and scheduling, overseeing tire sales and installation, managing inventory and cash handling, and reinforcing company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager with daily retail operations and staff supervision
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer issues
• Oversee tire sales, installation, and repair workflow for safety and quality
• Assist with scheduling, task assignments, and on-the-job training
• Manage inventory, product ordering, and stock organization
• Ensure accurate cash handling, POS transactions, and end-of-day reporting
• Maintain a clean, safe shop environment and enforce safety protocols
• Promote Discount Tire's values of respect, integrity, teamwork, and people-first service
• Support sales goals through product knowledge and add-on recommendations
• Prepare for advancement by learning key performance and operational metrics
