Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced Structured Cabling Technician III professionals to support the installation and expansion of low-voltage infrastructure within a large-scale manufacturing environment. This role focuses on new structured cabling deployments supporting facility growth, network infrastructure upgrades, and ongoing operational projects.
The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with copper and fiber cabling installations, cable pathway systems, testing, troubleshooting, and working in industrial or enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities- Pull, route, dress, label, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low‑voltage copper cabling.
- Pull, route, and properly handle fiber‑optic cabling.
- Install and organize cabling within various pathway systems, including:
Cable trays, J‑hooks, Ladder racks, Conduits, Overhead pathways. - Support rack buildouts, patch panel installations, and IDF/MDF infrastructure deployments.
- Perform cable testing and validation using industry‑standard testing equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and cabling documentation.
- Ensure installations are clean, organized, properly labeled, and compliant with project standards.
- Work from scissor lifts and elevated work platforms at heights up to 25 feet.
- Follow all safety, PPE, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and other trades.
- Assist with additional low‑voltage infrastructure tasks as project needs evolve.
- Experience installing and supporting structured cabling systems.
- Hands‑on experience with:
Copper cable pulling, Routing and pathway installation, Cable termination, Testing and troubleshooting. - Experience pulling and routing fiber‑optic cabling.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience working from lifts and elevated work platforms.
- Ability to work safely at heights up to 25 feet.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable transportation and ability to consistently work early morning shifts.
- 3‑5+ years of structured cabling experience.
- Experience with:
Fluke cable testing, Fiber testing and certification, Cable documentation and labeling, IDF/MDF buildouts, Equipment rack installations, Patch panel termination and management, Cable trays, ladder racks, and J‑hook systems. - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Scissor lift and aerial lift experience.
This position is fully on‑site within an active manufacturing facility. Candidates should be comfortable with:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Pulling and routing cable throughout large production areas.
- Carrying tools, materials, and equipment.
- Working within overhead pathway and cable tray systems.
- Operating from lifts at heights up to 25 feet.
- Working safely around active manufacturing equipment and personnel.
Site‑required PPE and tools will be provided. Candidates must provide and wear steel‑toe or composite‑toe work boots and appropriate work attire.
