The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Castle Rock, CO. This position is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems, including furnaces, heat pumps, and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system tune‑ups, as well as installing or replacing components such as thermostats, filters, and controls.
The technician will respond to service calls, troubleshoot issues, communicate findings and options to customers, and ensure all work meets safety standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves accurately documenting work performed, maintaining tools and equipment, and collaborating with team members and leadership to support high-quality, timely service.
- Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and provide professional, courteous service.
- Proficient in Troubleshooting HVAC systems, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and airflow issues, and recommending effective solutions.
- Experience with Maintenance & Repair of heating and air conditioning equipment, including performing system checks, component replacement, and adjustments.
- Skilled in Preventive Maintenance, including scheduled inspections, cleaning, and optimizing system performance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- EPA certification (or ability to obtain) for safe handling of refrigerants and adherence to environmental regulations.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and gas piping is beneficial, especially related to furnaces, water heaters, and associated systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and construction documents, with attention to detail and safety.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation to job sites in and around Castle Rock, CO, and the ability to work in varied weather conditions.
- Previous experience as an HVAC or mechanical service technician, and relevant trade school, apprenticeship, or professional training preferred.
