Temporary Para 2 Bus Support for ESD/STEPS Program

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a para educator who may be interested in supervising a bus route for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. This position includes:

  • A morning and afternoon route totaling 3 hours
    • Times for the route pick up and return to Castle Rock are as follows:
      • Morning:
        Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 9:00 am
      • Afternoon:
        Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 1:50 pm- 3:00 pm
      • Tuesday Afternoon: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
  • This will be a daily assignment on all school days
  • Responsibilities include supporting the ESD bus driver with student supervision
    • Commitment to assigned duties, i.e., limit last minute absences
    • No cell phone usage while riding with students
    • Utilize Conscious Discipline tools, Right Response, and/or other de‑escalation strategies
    • Address problem behaviors
