Field Services Technician ; Nights

Job Summary

A global market leader with over 50 years of transportation experience and contracts across 5 continents, Cubic Transportation Systems offers a permanent night‑shift role with a 4x4 rotation. The successful candidate will join our UK Field Service Technicians in maintaining and repairing Cubic equipment on Transport for London and National Rail infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and exemplary customer service across a range of high‑profile transportation technologies, including automated fare collection, contactless payments and guided‑tour solutions.

• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on Cubic equipment.
• Respond quickly to repair requests and follow maintenance procedures.
• Embrace training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Minimise downtime during fault call‑outs.
• Assist with equipment installations.
• Comply with health and safety and quality standards.
• Handle equipment module delivery and collections.
• Assist with management‑led project work.
• Deputise for the Field Service Team Leader when appropriate.
• Carry out vehicle stock checks.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and FORs accreditation.

• Hands‑on experience in a technical service/maintenance environment.
• Engineering qualification.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• UK driving licence.

• HNC or equivalent in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with SLA‑driven contracts.
