Are you an ambitious, high-energy relationship builder who wants to run a business that changes kids' lives? We are a growing multi-unit franchise network looking for our next leader. As a Center Director Trainee, you won't just be supervising a lobby you are entering an elite, fast-track operational program. Your explicit goal in this role is to transition into the Center Director role, taking full ownership of center performance, driving financial growth, and earning lucrative profit-sharing incentives.

We don't hire textbook administrators; we hire local champions who are already well known in the community for their involvement in the education and community work with the city we serve. You will bring your existing relationships with area schools or demonstrate the ability to make and maintain school relationships. This role requires advanced sales acumen and exceptional interpersonal skills. You must love the energy of working around children and families daily.

We look for a unique blend of:

  • Hunger & Execution: A proactive personality that loves the sales process and hitting enrollment goals.
  • High Emotional Intelligence (EQ):
The ability to turn a stressed parent into a raving fan of our center.
  • Tech Fluency:
Comfort navigating modern relationship management platforms, customer databases, social media platforms and automated follow-up systems to keep the business organized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship & Enrollment Sales:
Manage the parent journey from initial inquiry to enrollment. You will actively develop your sales skills, handle center tours, overcome pricing objections, and confidently articulate the value of our program.
  • Tech-Driven Relationship Management:
Utilize our suite of communication and CRM tools (including lead tracking, scheduling, and digital parent engagement platforms) to ensure no family falls through the cracks.
  • Community Outreach & School Partnerships:
Act as the face of the brand in your city/territory. You will build relationships at local schools, farmers markets, community festivals, attend PTA events, and establish our community presence.
  • Team & Floor Leadership:
Learn to lead, schedule, and motivate a team of part-time instructors to ensure the highest quality educational environment during instruction hours.

What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Experience:

2+ years of experience in sales, customer success, hospitality management, or educational leadership.
  • The "Hometown Advantage" (Highly Preferred):
Established experience working with school administrations, PTAs, or teachers in the local area. Active ties or prior experience within local public, private and charter school networks.
  • Growth Mindset: A strong desire to scale within an organization. We are actively looking for future District Managers as our franchise network expands.
  • Availability:
Ability to work standard learning center hours (typically mid-afternoon through early evening Monday–Thursday, plus weekend morning/afternoon blocks at farmers markets and community festivals).

What We Offer (The Career Path)

We invest heavily in your professional development. Upon successful completion of your training modules and meeting initial center benchmarks, you will graduate to the Center Director position.

  • Trainee Phase:
Competitive hourly wage, hands-on mentorship from the owner, and deep-dive operational training.
  • Director Phase:
Transition to a competitive salary, health benefit stipends, and a direct bonus structure tied to center enrollment growth, profitability, and retention milestones.

California Compliance & Application Note In compliance with California labor laws, this training position is classified as hourly/non-exempt to ensure accurate compensation for all hours worked, including overtime, during your onboarding phase. Upon promotion to Center Director, the role transitions to a salaried/exempt executive framework meeting CA salary threshold requirements. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All candidates must pass a comprehensive background check and background screening due to the nature of working with children.
