The Concrete Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. This position oversees daily jobsite concrete operations, including planning, coordinating, and supervising crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications, organizing formwork, flatwork, and ready-mix concrete & pumping activities, and deliveries as needed.
The Concrete Superintendent will monitor job progress, solve field issues, maintain clear communication with project managers and clients, and ensure compliance with company safety policies and local regulations. The role also involves tracking materials, verifying workmanship, and supporting project closeout with accurate documentation and punch list completion.
Qualifications:
- Strong structural concrete construction skills, including experience with elevated formwork systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of ready-mix concrete placement, finishing, and quality control.
- Carpentry skills related to concrete framing, layout, and structural support.
- Previous experience as a superintendent, foreperson, or lead in commercial or civil concrete projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety and familiarity with OSHA requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination abilities.
- Reliable organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site across the San Francisco Bay Area.
