Position SummaryWe’re looking for a dedicated Piano Instructor to join our team. This is a part-time, in-person position for private lessons. You’ll teach students ranging from young beginners to advanced teens and adult hobbyists.
Job Responsibilities- Teach private piano lessons in-studio
- Develop customized lesson plans based on each student’s goals and progress
- Maintain a positive, motivating learning environment
- Prepare students for recitals and other performance opportunities
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress
- Arrive on time and maintain a professional, friendly demeanor
- Proficient in piano performance and pedagogy (degree in music is a plus)
- Prior teaching experience with children and/or teens preferred
- Ability to teach various styles (classical, pop, jazz, etc.) a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable transportation and availability on weekday afternoons and/or Saturdays
- Enthusiastic, warm, and student-focused teaching style
- Can accompany students or teach some basic improvisation
- Love coffee, chord charts, and making music fun
- Are open to growing with us long-term
