The Construction Procurement Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hayward, CA. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities for flooring materials and related construction supplies, ensuring availability, cost-effectiveness, and quality. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers and internal project teams, and monitoring delivery schedules to keep multifamily projects on track. The specialist evaluates supplier performance, supports contract negotiations, and maintains accurate records and reports related to procurement activities.

This role collaborates closely with operations, project managers, and warehouse staff to align materials procurement with project timelines and budget goals.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess strong procurement and purchase order management skills, including experience creating, tracking, and reconciling Purchase Orders and handling end-to-end Procurement processes.
• Candidates should possess skills in supplier and vendor management, including Supplier Evaluation and performance tracking to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Contract Negotiation, with the ability to secure favorable terms and manage agreements that support project schedules and budgets.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret data, compare quotes, manage cost analyses, and support forecasting for materials needs.
• Relevant qualifications include experience in construction or flooring procurement, familiarity with multifamily housing projects, and proficiency with procurement or ERP software.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include strong communication and collaboration skills, attention to detail, basic knowledge of building materials, and the ability to work in a fast-paced on-site environment.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in supply chain, business, or construction management is a plus.
