OverviewResponsible for managing clinical and/or support staff and working closely with physicians and mid-level providers to ensure clinic operations run smoothly, UHA policies and procedures are adhered to, and an excellent patient experience is consistently delivered.
Supervisor LevelSupervisor II – The incumbent oversees the day-to-day of a group of employees, trains and develops subordinate staff, estimates staffing needs, assigns work, ensures consistent application of policies, and implements procedures.
Responsibilities- Manage daily practice operations, enforce office/practice protocols, and ensure compliance with policies.
- Schedule work assignments, manage workflow, approve timecards and PTO requests, and maintain adequate staffing.
- Maintain physicians’ schedules in Epic, handling surgery time, vacation, and time out of office requests.
- Act as liaison between physicians/providers and clinical staff, address employee performance and issues, provide coaching, and coordinate training.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide input on compensation adjustments, and complete staff hiring and recruitment.
- Ensure proper stocking and cleanliness of exam/procedure rooms, support EMR conversion, and collaborate with facilities management on building updates.
- Assist with triage calls, medical emergencies, and resolve patient complaints and concerns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and contribute to organizational projects, safety, HIPAA and compliance policies.
- Associate’s degree and at least three (3) years of experience in medical practice, including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred.
- Epic EMR experience preferred.
- Ability to direct and supervise staff.
- Knowledge of medical practice, patient care, examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments and of common safety hazards to establish a safe work environment.
- Skill in assisting with treatments and medications, taking vital signs, maintaining records, and recording test results.
- Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards and react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures and communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Customer service, clerical, and computer skills, including full competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

- Licensed Vocational Nurse preferred.
- Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

20% travel required.
CompensationBase Pay Scale:
Generally starting at $36.31 - $47.19 per hour. Salary determined based on internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
