Position available:
AM Shift - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMPM Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:30 PMNOC Shift - 11:00 PM to 7:30 PMAll shifts are on a 4-2 schedule (4 days on, 2 days off)

* Pay starts at $42.00/hr through $48.00/hr for 7 or more years of experience.
We are a 24/7 facility therefore one must be able to work weekends and holidays as required. All applicants are required to complete and pass a drug screening (including marijuana), physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice. Develop an individual, written care plan which indicates the care to be given.
Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift which includes CNA/LVN staff.
Ensure that nursing care is provided according to established standards and policies.
Ensure that all medications and treatments are performed and documented properly.
Administer medications by means of oral, external, injections, and intravenous methods and follow established policy & procedures for medication administration.
Administer treatments, including but not limited to; dressings, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen, skin assessments, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
NEW GRADS OK!
Currently licensed in the State of California as a Registered Nurse, current CPR certification, geriatric/rehabilitative experience preferred with a good understanding of restorative nursing
Ability to read, speak and write the English language in order to understand instructions and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
Must meet the general health requirement set forth by this facility, which includes taking a medical and physical examination, and completing the TB clearance requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical demands require mobility about the unit with indirect resident care involving standing, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair, gerichair, and/or shower chair
Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during fire/life, emergency or disaster situations, which may include very heavy lifting
Must be subjected to offensive odors and combative behavior;
May be exposed to verbal and physical abuse by residents.
May be exposed to blood and body fluids, which may contain HIV and or HBV. Baywood Court Health Center has defined this position as Category I due to the level of contact and probability of exposure to blood and other body fluids. Protective clothing, equipment and exposure control training (including Hepatitis B vaccine) are provided.
