Registered Nurse – ICU – Neuro

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Neuro ICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The nurse will deliver comprehensive neuro-focused nursing services while complying with all relevant clinical standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor neuro patients' neurological status and vital signs continuously.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions tailored to neuro patients’ needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies or changes in clinical status.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license uploaded via Nursys within the last 2 weeks.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in neuro ICU.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification (preferred).
• Demonstrated neuro ICU competencies and experience with neuro monitoring equipment.
• Ability to float to ED, Step Down, or Central Monitoring units as needed.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
