Staff Nurse (RN, LPN, LVN) – Cathedral City, CA

We’re seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse (RN, LPN, LVN) to join our clinical team and help drive exceptional care. In this role, you will provide crucial nursing support to patients undergoing treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.

Position Details
  • Reports to:

    Director of Nursing
  • Schedule:

    Part‑time, two 12‑hour shifts.
  • Compensation: LVN ($26–$32 hourly), RN ($45–$55 hourly). Shift differential after 7 pm.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including ASAM forms.
  • Provide routine care at various levels of care.
  • Identify treatment needs and integrate findings into collaborative treatment plans.
  • Complete nursing documentation per facility and state requirements.
  • Review medication logs and support medical department tasks.
  • Administer medications as directed by the medical provider.
  • Facilitate medication education and incorporate nursing and medical issues into treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and referral sources to provide progress updates and coordinate post‑discharge recovery plans.
  • Apply clinical judgment and intervention skills in crisis situations, including risk assessments and de‑escalation.
  • Tailor nursing approaches to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Build rapport and foster trust with patients through strong interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN, LPN, or LVN license in California.
  • Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited school.
  • Strong assessment and organizational skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain objectivity and empathy in patient interactions.
  • Adherence to the Healthcare Code of Ethics.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission Standards.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal confidentiality regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in behavioral/mental health, acute care, detox, or mental health facilities.
  • Familiarity with KIPU EMR system.
