Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a qualified and compassionate Staff Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Banyan Palm Springs in Cathedral City, CA. • Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN and medical provider in accordance with protocols and scope of practice
• Assist in completing nursing assessments and admission documentation within established time frames, with assessments reviewed and co-signed by an RN as required
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; provide medication education as directed
• Monitor patient medical status, report changes promptly, and assist in initiating appropriate interventions, referrals, or emergency response
• Monitor patients for psychiatric symptoms, medication effectiveness, and safety concerns, reporting changes to the RN, provider, or treatment team as appropriate
• Apply sound clinical judgment in crisis situations, including suicide risk awareness, de-escalation, and patient safety interventions, escalating as required
• Accurately transcribe, document, and implement provider orders, including verbal orders when permitted
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary team members to support integrated patient care
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with licensure, accreditation, and organizational standards
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Support medication management and controlled substance processes in collaboration with Compliance and nursing leadership
• Participate in in-service education, department meetings, and staff meetings as required

Required:

• Active, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in California
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
