Position: Assistant Project Manager / Assistant Construction Manager

Assistant Project Manager / Assistant Construction Manager

Immediate need for a talented Assistant Project Manager / Assistant Construction Manager. This is a 12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Reading, PA; or Catonsville, MD or Glen Allen, VA (Onsite).

Pay Range: $45 to $48/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with project planning, risk management, permitting, bidding, contract administration, cost tracking, scheduling, invoicing, compliance, audits, materials management, workforce coordination, labor analysis, equipment management, and project closeout while ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and project requirements.
Key Requirements and Technology

Experience:
  • 3 years of experience in Project & Construction Management, supporting Electrical Transmission/Distribution/Substation Utility Projects.
  • Bachelor Degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with assistant in construction phases, project coordination, EPC support, schedule, planning, progress tracking, field coordination and project site work.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
  • Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multiple years of experience on construction project sites or executing program management in the industries of aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, transportation, or water is preferred.
  • A basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Must be able to meet the company's driving requirements.
