the community college of baltimore county is seeking a programmer analyst to join our enterprise applications team as a technical leader in enterprise software development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to design, develop, implement test, and maintain enterprise applications that support students, faculty, and staff. In this role, you will lead complex software development initiatives, develop system integrations and enterprise reporting solutions, and collaborate with functional and technical partners to deliver scalable, reliable applications within the ellucian banner erp environment.
Using sql, pl/sql, t-sql, java, java script, and html, you will help modernize business processes, enhance system performance, and build technology solutions that support data-informed decision-making across the college.
ccbc offers two programmer analyst levels, each with distinct responsibilities and qualification requirements. Detailed position descriptions and minimum qualifications for each level are provided below.

programmer analyst i - $78,839-$130,309
bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field required.
a minimum of 8 years of information technology experience in supporting enterprise administrative applications required.
must achieve a passing score on a programming assessment required covering job specific languages technologies such as java, java script, linux shell scripting, tsql, pl/sql.
placement at the programmer/analyst i level requires completion of at least three relevant technical certifications: two certifications designated for the programmer/analyst i level and one from the next lower level in the college's programmer certification matrix. Higher-level or equivalent industry-recognized it certifications may be accepted when they align with the position's responsibilities. The certification matrix is subject to annual updates.

bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field required.

must achieve a passing score on programming assessment for required covering job specific technologies such as java, java script, linux shell scripting, tsql, pl/sql.
placement at the programmer/analyst ii level requires completion of at least three relevant technical certifications: two certifications designated for the programmer/analyst ii level and one from the next lower level in the college's programmer certification matrix. mandatory banner module training is required for all new hires regardless of placement level. All new hires must complete the assigned banner module curriculum and assessment within six months of their start date. Successful completion is required for continued employment and is a condition of hire.

This matrix outlines recognized certifications and relevant experience benchmarks that support advancement through the programmer i, programmer ii, programmer-analyst i, and programmer-analyst ii roles. Certification status will be considered in hiring, promotion, and professional development decisions.
