Radiation Oncology Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)

Virginia Western Community College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to provide classroom instruction in the Radiation Oncology program of the School of Health Professions. Faculty are hired on a course‑by‑course, semester basis and receive compensation on a per‑credit‑hour basis.

• Hours and days vary with course offerings and enrollment; appointment is semester‑based

• Deliver effective, engaging classroom instruction in Radiation Oncology courses.
• Maintain currency in the discipline and stay current with trends in community college education.
• Use technology effectively in the classroom to enhance student learning.
• Complete any additional duties as assigned and assist the institution during emergencies as required.

• Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Radiation Oncology (or equivalent).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification (or equivalent) with ongoing educational compliance.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in the professional discipline.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience teaching, preferably in a college setting, is preferred.
• Proficiency with classroom technology and instructional supports.
