School of BTT Plumbing Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)
Virginia Western Community College is accepting applications for part‑time Plumbing Adjunct Faculty in the School of Business, Technology, and Trades (BTT). Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course‑by‑course, semester basis as needed. Plumbing adjunct faculty teach college‑level courses in‑person on the main Virginia Western campus. Courses include Principles of Plumbing Trade I, Principles of Plumbing Trade II, and Plumbing Code and Certification Preparation.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned plumbing courses and prepare instructional materials, syllabi, exams, and assessments.
- Maintain currency in plumbing discipline and trends in community‑college education.
- Participate actively in departmental communications and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years of occupational experience in the residential and/or commercial plumbing field.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments.
- Ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.
$793 - $1,278 per credit hour; faculty rank determined when credentialed.
