Medical Facilities of America (MFA), a trusted leader in post-acute rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations - Southwest North Carolina Region to join our executive team. This individual will provide visionary leadership and operational oversight for a group of healthcare centers.
This is a key executive role responsible for ensuring overall operational excellence, financial strength, regulatory compliance, and a culture focused on quality care and customer service. The ideal candidate is an experienced and strategic operator who brings a passion for people, performance, and purpose.

- Lead and manage all operational aspects of assigned facilities, ensuring alignment with MFA’s mission and strategic goals
- Anticipate and understand customer needs, driving initiatives that improve resident satisfaction and service excellence
- Provide ongoing mentorship and leadership to facility Administrators and interdisciplinary teams, cultivating a culture of trust, accountability, and high performance
- Develop and oversee operating budgets and business plans, consistently meeting or exceeding financial and service outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, and proactively manage the survey readiness and response process
- Champion quality improvement and performance metrics, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement
- Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to execute business plans and foster employee engagement across centers
- Represent MFA with professionalism and integrity in interactions with residents, families, employees, and external stakeholders
- Active, unencumbered licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in North Carolina.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s preferred - Minimum 3 years of healthcare experience and 5+ years of progressive leadership experience/administrator experience, ideally within skilled nursing, post-acute, or long-term care environments
- Demonstrated success managing multi‑site operations and achieving strong regulatory, financial, and quality outcomes
- Deep understanding of industry regulations, survey processes, and operational best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including executive-level presentation and decision‑making abilities
- A collaborative, strategic thinker who leads with integrity and drives results through people
