Residential Outside Sales Representative

Position: Direct Sales Representative – CCI Management Level

Location: Must work at a specified Cox location; no remote options.

Compensation: Base salary range $27,500.00 - $41,300.00; annual incentive/commission target $32,496.00; sign‑on bonus $2,000 (eligible external) or $1,000 (eligible internal) paid in two installments.

Residential sales role that requires door‑to‑door sales. Must live in the Roanoke, VA area.

• Sell Cox data, video, and mobile services to residential customers while managing your assigned territory.
• Generate new leads, sales, and upgrades through prospecting, referrals, partner relationships, door‑to‑door canvassing, and networking.
• Develop and deliver face‑to‑face sales presentations, from creation to delivery, ensuring assessment of customer needs to closing the sale.
• Build relationships with homeowner associations, multi‑dwelling unit managers, leasing agents, and other partners to generate sales.
• Assist with training new hires, collaborate with other departments, and partner with leadership to identify new growth approaches.
• Work evening and weekend hours to maximize customer contact opportunities.
• Maintain high ethical standards, follow company policy, and represent the company professionally.

• High school diploma, GED, or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to qualify for Certifications and licenses required by state and municipal laws to sell Home Security.
• Proficient knowledge of and ability to operate a smartphone, iPad, and computer.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and walk ≥1½ miles a day and navigate stairs.
• Must be able to carry an iPad with case and a light bag of marketing materials for ≥5 hours a day.
• Preferred: 1+ years of outside/field sales, door‑to‑door, or related experience with quota requirements.
• Experience in residential direct sales, home security, or telecommunications industry.

• Target total compensation $68,496 annually.
• Potential to earn up to and beyond $97,813 for high performers.
• Two‑month ramp‑up period with full commission.
