Staff Accountant - Scenic Southern Utah

Schedule: Full-Time, potential to work mostly remote (2 days a month after training)

Reports to: Finance Manager

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining general ledger integrity, and supporting key financial functions—including month-end close, cost tracking, payroll support, and audit preparation.

• Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with GAAP
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and internal reporting
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Track capital expenditures, inventory, and fixed assets
• Collaborate with procurement and operations for accurate cost allocations
• Assist with payroll and benefits reporting
• Prepare audit schedules and support external audit requests
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Will need to have experience in Manufacturing, Mining or other Cost Accounting environments.
