Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in Cedar City, Utah. This role is ideal for someone who can keep records accurate, maintain organized financial data, and help ensure timely processing of both incoming and outgoing transactions. The successful candidate will bring practical bookkeeping experience, confidence using Quick Books, and a steady approach to account reconciliation and reporting.

Responsibilities:

- Record financial activity accurately and maintain up-to-date bookkeeping records across daily transactions.

- Process vendor invoices, prepare payment entries, and help ensure accounts payable activities are completed on schedule.

- Track customer payments, post receipts, and follow established procedures to support accurate accounts receivable balances.

- Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify account activity and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Use Quick Books to manage financial entries, organize supporting documentation, and maintain reliable accounting records.

- Review transaction details for accuracy and completeness while identifying issues that require correction or follow-up.

- Assist with routine financial reporting and provide bookkeeping support to help maintain orderly month-to-month records. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or a closely related accounting support role.

- Hands-on experience working with Quick Books in a business environment.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice handling and payment tracking.

- Familiarity with accounts receivable activities such as posting payments and monitoring outstanding balances.

- Experience completing bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail.

- Ability to maintain accurate records, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.

- Strong organizational and communication skills with a dependable, detail-focused work style.
