Position Summary

Discovery Clubhouse is seeking an energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic Summer Camp Teacher to lead and supervise our school-age summer program. This position is ideal for someone who loves being active, enjoys planning engaging experiences, and is passionate about teaching beyond the classroom walls.

Our summer program includes hands‑on activities, themed learning, outdoor play, and exciting field trips. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment and understands the importance of safety, structure, and positive leadership while having fun.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of school‑age children during camp hours
  • Plan and lead engaging daily activities, games, and themed projects
  • Actively participate in outdoor play and group activities
  • Supervise and lead children during field trips
  • Safely drive a 14‑passenger van for field trips (preferred)
  • Maintain accurate attendance and accountability during transitions
  • Foster respectful behavior and positive peer interactions
  • Assist with meal and snack times following guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp spaces
  • Communicate professionally with parents and team members
  • Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability and willingness to drive a 14‑passenger vehicle (preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with school‑age children preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain during training)
  • Food Handler’s Permit (or willing to obtain during training)
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Reliable transportation
