Overview

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on construction knowledge and experience using Procore or similar project management software. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, field leadership, and general contractors to help manage project documentation, coordination, safety, and daily office operations. This is a growth-oriented position with real exposure to active job sites and project decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Compile and track RFIs, change orders, and pay applications
  • Coordinate communication between field crews, Project Managers, and General Contractors
  • Compile and review pre-construction documents, including contracts and COIs, under PM direction
  • Support safety coordination, inspections, certifications, and compliance on active projects
  • Assist with procurement tracking and delivery coordination
  • Maintain accurate project records, logs, and reports
  • Attend project meetings and assist with progress reporting
  • Identify and communicate potential project risks or schedule impacts
  • Provide daily administrative support for the Cedar City office under PM direction
  • Travel periodically to projects outside the Cedar City area as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in construction management or related field
  • Experience in steel erection or commercial construction strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of construction site operations and workflows
  • Proficiency with Procore (or similar software such as Prolog)
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear, professional communication skills
