Southern Utah University (SUU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure‑track, Assistant Professor of History in the Department of History, Sociology, and Anthropology, to begin August 15, 2026. We seek a historian of nineteenth‑century U.S. history. The candidate’s areas of sub‑specialty should complement and expand the department’s current course offerings.

First consideration date: 12/12/2025

• The annual teaching assignment will be the equivalent of 8 undergraduate courses spread across two semesters (a 4/4 load).
• Primary responsibilities will include General Education courses in American History and upper‑division elective courses in the successful candidate’s area of specialty.
