Support the ALCC Director in managing the daily operations of the American Language and Culture Center.
Date of first consideration: 03/10/2026.
Essential Functions- Develop and update the course schedule, teaching assignments, and student enrollment for each ALC term.
- Advise and support students in their enrollment and student status maintenance, including coordination with Registrar's Office, Cashier's Office, International Student and Scholar Services.
- Supervise and schedule office staff and part-time instructors, including facilitating the submission of hiring documents and approval of time-sheets.
- Coordinate supervision and support for FESL and IEP instructors, including syllabus review, student course evaluations, final grade submission, emergency procedures, and other tasks as needed.
- Maintain ALCC student records, including class lists, test score results, and graduation certificates.
- Prepare annual reports, such as Open Doors data report.
- Manage ALCC physical spaces (offices and classrooms) including facilitating staff/faculty key access and custodial/facilities requests.
- Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the ALCC Director.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent years of relevant office experience.
- Competency in the use of a variety of Google apps, including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, and Google Calendar.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to details.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in a field related to Business Management, International Education, or TESO).
- Familiarity with higher education practices in the USA.
- Experience communicating with international, multilingual English language learners.
Position is contingent on funding.
This is an Hourly position, 29 hours/week.
