The Head Start teacher, along with their teaching team, is responsible for classroom operation including individualized planning and implementation for students, maintaining a safe classroom environment and engaging appropriate behavior management strategies. Supervises a class of up to 20, 3 to 5 year old children.
Position is located in Beaver, Utah.

Essential Functions- Responsible for day-to-day set up of classroom and planning and implementing curriculum including individualizing for children, monitoring development and ensuring accurate data is collected.
- Provide a positive classroom environment through building relationships, implementing age-appropriate expectations and allowing for child-directed opportunities.
- Demonstrate and model good health, nutrition, safety and behavior management practices.
- Maintains accurate classroom inventory and regularly cleans and disinfects classroom and playground area.
- Attend required training and implement practices, procedures and expectations.
- Support parents/guardians in their role as primary educator of their child through an engaging relationship.
- Conduct at least two parent-teacher conferences and home visits each year. Ensure screenings, assessments and evaluations are completed and review with parents.
- Coordinate with family advocate on parent meetings, attends and presents classroom updates and training.
- Other duties assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related field required.
- Early childhood experience required.
