Part Time Reading and Math Classroom Paraprofessional – Iron Springs Elementary

Iron Springs Elementary School is seeking a part time Reading and Math Classroom Paraprofessional for 27.5 hours per week beginning in August for the  school year.

The paraprofessional works under the direction of the school principal, assists classroom teachers in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and environment so students may learn effectively, provides instructional support assistance to students and student groups, and performs a variety of instructional and classroom management supports, as well as related data/clerical tasks to support teachers and other professional staff in all classrooms or learning environments.

• Provide instructional support assistance to students and student groups.
• Participate in the development, maintenance, and carrying out of systems for classroom management.
• Guide students in working and interacting harmoniously with other students.
• Operate various types of office equipment such as computers, copy machines, etc.
• Comply with established district policies and procedures.

• Must have basic computer knowledge, be familiar with Google Docs, and check email frequently.
• Willingness to learn and use all computer systems and software as needed.
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance and job performance is required.
