Essential Functions:
- Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for automotive lab exercises.
- Ensure that the lab area is clean, safe, and fully operational at all times.
- Maintain inventory of automotive tools, supplies and equipment. Inform the instructors when additional resources are needed.
- Perform minor repairs on lab equipment when necessary.
- Promote a safe and effective learning environment for students in conjunction with faculty and staff.
- Assist students during lab activities by answering questions, demonstrating techniques, and providing guidance under the supervision of the instructor.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed by students during lab activities.
- Help students troubleshoot common issues with Canvas/Cengage systems during digital and hands‑on training.
- Works collaboratively with other department personnel to meet the College program and accreditation standards and requirements.
- Works within the assigned program budget.
- Orient new students to classroom facilities, technology, and program/classroom performance and behavior expectations, procedures, and safety.
- Promotes job readiness, encourages professionalism, and good work habits.

Qualifications:
To perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
- Certifications: ASE Certs preferred.
- Experience: Must be currently in the STECH automotive program or have documentable automotive work experience.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.
- Probationary Period: Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of a six (6) month probationary period.

Conventional Educational Environment. In some programs, employees may occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals and the hazards associated with the respective industry equipment.
