About the Position

Part‑time Computer Science Prep Paraprofessional – South Elementary. Works 20 hours per week at Three Peaks Elementary. The role supports classroom teachers by providing instructional and classroom‑management support for technology use, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a conducive learning environment.

• Provide instructional support to students and student groups.
• Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of classroom‑management systems.
• Guide students in working and interacting harmoniously with others.
• Operate office equipment such as computers, copy machines, and related devices.
• Comply with district policies and procedures.
• Support teachers in delivering technology‑enhanced instruction.
• Ensure students receive instruction on the State Technology Core.
• Instruct students on keyboarding according to state standards and the district’s keyboarding program.
• Train students on proper use of district computer equipment according to the Acceptable Use Policy.
• Assist teachers in selecting class‑related computer activities.
• Provide written and verbal feedback to teachers on student progress.
• Supply teachers with materials outlining courseware scope and sequence as needed.
• Maintain an aesthetic environment conducive to learning.
• Coordinate a schedule to maximize computer use.
• Ensure all school computers are in good working order and perform basic maintenance and repair.
• Use lab‑management software to control access and usage of computers.
• Maintain an inventory of technology equipment.
• Demonstrate regular, reliable, predictable attendance and performance.
• Maintain equipment in all classrooms and other areas of the building.
• Possess basic computer knowledge, be familiar with Google Docs, check email frequently, and be willing to learn and use all necessary computer systems and software.
