Energetic Operations Technician 1

SUMMARYThe Energetics Operations Technician I supports production line operations by manufacturing propellant in accordance with established procedures and manufacturing worksheets. This position involves chemical mixing and handling, operating light machinery, and maintaining strict quality and safety standards in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Performs line functions under direction of the Line Supervisor
- Adds and mixes chemicals to manufacture propellant per manufacturing worksheets
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and continuous quality improvement objectives
- Notifies supervisor of defective materials
- Operates dolly, drum roller, or other machinery as needed
- Uses quality control methods to verify goods are consistent with required standards; follows proper QC procedures and company forms
- Operates scales, paint shaker, and vibration machinery as needed
- Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work fast paced, standing all day
- Ability to handle a flexible environment
- Ability to understand, follow, and maintain quality and safety procedures
- Basic math and arithmetic skills
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects up to 100 lbs
- Read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers
- Detect problems and report to supervisor or appropriate personnel
- Ability to operate independently and handle short‑term line operation when supervisor is absent
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance (training provided)
No travel required.
