Provide exceptional customer service and assist department manager to reach sales goals.;
Answer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store; recommend grocery items to customers.;
Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell-by dates; label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.;
Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager; maintain temperature logs and proper temperatures in cases and coolers.;
Report safety risks/issues and incidents, including robbery, theft, or fraud; notify management as needed.
