Compensation & Schedule
  • Work location:

    106 E 200 N Cedar City, UT
  • Base pay: $18.19 per hour + uncapped commissions. Opportunity to earn $60,000+ annually.
  • Full‑time position – 40 hours per week.
  • Hours:

    Monday–Friday (rotating Saturdays) 8:00AM–5:00PM or Tuesday–Saturday 8:00AM–5:00PM.
  • Sign‑on bonus: $2,500.

Position Summary

The Consumer Sales Representative‑Retail is a key contributor to TDS’s consumer strategy to grow, delight, and retain customers. The role involves serving walk‑in customers and inbound calls, understanding products, handling billing inquiries, meeting sales goals for Voice, High Speed Data, TV, Mobile, and Internet Content products, and maintaining customer service quality.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver sales & retention results by providing exceptional customer service, meeting monthly sales goals for strategic products.
  • Handle moves, adds, changes, and disconnect inquiries, and recommend appropriate TDS product solutions.
  • Follow cash management procedures for accurate payment handling.
  • Resolve construction‑related issues by creating and completing triage tickets.
  • Keep current with promotions, products, and technology to exceed or meet sales and retention goals.
  • Maintain retail office responsibilities such as restocking, securing the office, and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years’ experience in a sales or customer service role.
  • 2+ years computer experience (order applications, Microsoft Outlook, Word, or Excel).
  • Must follow TDS attendance guidelines.
Other Qualifications
  • 6+ months experience in a fast‑paced environment managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Strong negotiation, selling, and closing skills.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls in a structured contact‑center environment.
  • Understanding of the telecommunication industry and its products.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem‑solving skills for customer complaints and competitive issues.
  • Successful completion of classroom training required.
  • Demonstrated success in a competitive sales environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime with advance notice and shifts with potential Saturday rotation.
  • Experience resolving escalated customer issues face‑to‑face or over the phone.

Pay Transparency

The listed pay range reflects the minimum and maximum base compensation for this position. The base pay rate offered is expected to be $18.19 per hour. In addition, certain positions may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses, commissions, or equity awards.

Pay Range

$17.66 per hour – $26.48 per hour.
