Schedule: Monday –Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Work Environment: Hybrid flexibility available, typically one remote day per week.
Position OverviewThe company is seeking an operationally focused accounting and finance professional to support with day-to-day business operations. This person will be hands-on across accounting, finance, customer communication, scheduling, billing, purchasing, and operational coordination.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee payroll processing activities, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll records within Quick Books or comparable systems, including employee deductions, garnishments, commissions, bonuses, and benefit with holdings.
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles, review timekeeping records, and reconcile payroll reports.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, compensation changes, and terminations with company leadership.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities as needed.
- Track labor costs, assist with budgeting and cash flow planning, and provide payroll-related reporting to leadership.
- Execute and track purchase orders and support inventory, purchasing, and operational coordination activities.
- Communicate directly with employees, vendors, benefit providers, and internal stakeholders regarding payroll questions and related matters.
- Assist with schedule management and provide general accounting, finance, and business operations support.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of payroll administration or payroll management experience.
- Strong Quick Books and payroll processing experience.
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, benefits administration, and labor cost reporting.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.
- Earlier-career professional with growth potential and a modern operational mindset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with employees and stakeholders.
